2012 is finally here!

Happy New Year!
Sorry everyone for not posting since November. First let me say Happy Birthday for all the birthdays in January! January seems to be a very popular birthday month, 3 people in my family have their birthday in January. I've really been getting into writing for a few months, I've been working on a page that has a whole bunch of writing tips, and I'm planning on putting it up on a page on the sidebar next to the posts. So if your into writing ( or thinking about starting to write ) look over at the page, and if you have any tips or ideas that would work post them in a comment and I'll add it as soon as possible :)

Crochet Cat

Hi everyone, I've been getting into crochet, and I have made a crochet cat! Here's a picture and instructions on how to make it.

:Instructions:
Take the yarn that you want to use for the body, and do the chain stitch until it's twice the width you want it to be, with a few extra stitches in there, then make that a loop. Then just keep adding rows to it until it's as tall as you want. Tie off the yarn, it should look like a tube. Taking yarn and a yarn needle sew up one end of the tube, then you will need some cloth that's the same color as the yarn, or at least close to it. And make a pouch big enough to fit inside your tube, fill the pouch up with stuffing and sew up the top of the pouch, then put the pouch in the tube you made, and sew up the top. Then, take some yarn you want the ears to be, and crochet it into the shape of an ear, ( you might have to sew part of it to make it the right shape. ) and make another one that looks the same as the first one, and sew them on the top of the body. Then take some different colored yarn, and embroider the eyes, nose, mouth, and the extra little things. You can also use buttons for the eyes. And ta da! You now have a crochet stuffed animal. (:

School part 3

The picture to the left is of my index card holder. It's very easy to decorate. All you need is.....

1. An index card holder
2. Stickers :D

Simply cover the front of your index card holder in stickers! And if you get one like mine. Get a rubber band to keep your index card holder closed.

School Part 2

Another thing you can use for school. A pencil cup! To make this just get...

1. A jar the size you want your pencil cup to be
2. Duct tape ( There are all sorts of colors and printed duct tape )
3. Scissors

Take the jar and put it on a table. Next take the duct tape and wrap it around the jar one time at the bottom of the jar, now cut the duct tape. Now wrap it around just above the first one without over lapping to much. Cut the duct tape. Keep repeating until the jar is completely covered on the outside. Now all you have to do is just put in your pencils and pens in the jar!

School Part 1

I'm starting school tomorrow :( . So I thought I would post pictures of some of my redecorated school stuff :D . The picture to the left is of all of the things I redecorated for school besides my notebooks. The box is my locker, I'm home schooled so I don't have an actual locker. All you need to make your own locker is.....
1. A box the size you want your locker to be (Make sure it has the top of the box too!)
2. Scissors
3. ( optional ) Markers, glitter

First take the scissors and cut a flap like the picture below, on the top of the box.
Then you put the top back on the box. And then you can decorate it if you want :) . I'm going to be posting things you can redecorate to use for school over the next few days. So keep coming back to see them!
